Sour News #007: Bye 2024
Winding down 2024 in 30 seconds
What’s good/What’s bad:

After years of looking for a new place to grow the Sour Universe we finally moved to our new location in early march 2024. We did not even double our available space but grew by 6 times! And it’s already getting tight again 🫠 We do have an actual showroom now so feel free to drop us a line if you want to check out our bikes. We are around 50m away from the Dresdner Heide so just right for a quick ride in the local woods.

Due to various accidents and emergencies within our team we were not able to offer you, our customers and friends the service and precision you deserve. We had to fight not one but three major fights that would almost kill our operation.
We were way behind with customer care, e-mails, shipping and building frames. We honestly were just everwehlemed by the sitation and we are sorry for that. BUT: even here lies the good: you! Thank you! Thank you for patience, your trust in us and your stoke for our products! We listened, we learned, we took steps in the right direction and we know that 2025 is going to be a blast!
As the year winds down and we reflect on the rollercoaster ride it has been, it's no secret that the bike industry has faced some serious turbulence over the past 24 months. Whether you're a small shop or a big brand, we've all felt the bumps. Some more than others. We've done our best to navigate these choppy waters with as much grace as possible.
This year, we've taken a few hits, including some serious health challenges within our team that led to a lot of struggles, long talks, longer wait times, missed deadlines, and so on. BUT, we made it through, and that's thanks to you, our amazing customers and friends.
Bikes Bikes Bikes!
While we were busy managing various major fires over the year we were still able to introduce a few exciting new bikes to our line up!
SOUR DOUBLE CHOC
Build it up, build it down, the Double Choc is a chameleon. Push the bike all the way up to 160/148mm travel for a big bruiser of a mountain bike, ready for bike parks and all the chunder-trails you can dream up. Turn the dial down and build the bike up with 140/136mm travel for a do-it-all trail bike, ready for all the ups and downs of trail riding. Push the front, huck it into oblivion.

SOUR COWBOY COOKIE
Got a big adventure in mind? Or maybe you’re keen to go hunt some PRs on your local trail? The Cowboy Cookie is down.
We built this bike in Saxony, by hand, to be a short-travel ripper, a quiver-killer, a bike for life. The steel frame stays true to Sour’s roots, and the aluminum rear end makes the Cowboy Cookie a speed demon ready to ride up, down, left, right… all of it.

SOUR SPACE CAKE
The Space Cake can take you anywhere the roads go—“road,” of course, being more of a theory than a rule..

You!
You are exceptional! Thank you for putting your trust in us, for the great rides, and for those amazing builds we've shared. And here's to many more to come. We don't know what the future holds, but we're feeling optimistic about it.
Thank you,
Team Sour
